Flag football, tailgate duty and stadium stairs can make Monday feel like the longest day of the weekend. Start with the basics: sleep, food, water and a break from the next hard workout. If you want some studio time, choose one experience that sounds good: a private sauna, a brief cold-air session or a seated compression appointment.
Why game-day weekends hit harder than a workout
A football weekend in New Orleans is its own kind of busy. You stand on concrete, haul coolers, climb the ramps at the dome and stay out later than planned. Even if you never touched a football, you spent plenty of time on your feet.
- Stadium stairs and tailgate setup: more carrying and walking than a normal day.
- September heat: another reason to take water and shade breaks.
- Pickup games: a bigger change of pace if you have been at a desk all week.
- Late kickoffs: less time for the sleep you still need on Monday.
The Monday reset: choose your experience
Want a warm, quiet room? Choose infrared sauna for 30 or 45 minutes of private dry heat. Prefer a shorter cold-air experience? Whole body cryotherapy provides about 3 to 5 minutes in the chamber with staff guidance. The appointment is 10 minutes, or 15 minutes for a first visit.
Some clients enjoy sauna followed by cryotherapy. Staff can help you arrange the appointments for both. You must be completely dry before entering the cold chamber.
Just one spot that’s complaining? Localized cryotherapy focuses cold air on a single knee, shoulder or ankle in a 10-minute, $35 appointment. See localized cryotherapy by body area.
Compression for legs that did the stadium stairs
NormaTec compression offers a different experience: boots apply sequential pressure while you sit. The appointment is 30 minutes, enough time to put your feet up, check the fantasy scores or take a screen break. Choose it if seated pressure sounds more appealing than heat or cold.
See 30-minute compression appointments. A retail single session is $30.
Make it a season habit that fits your calendar
If you enjoy the first visit, decide when another would fit. You can book a single session without a membership. For repeat visits, compare prepaid packages and the current monthly membership inclusions. Chill is $85 a month for two eligible sessions and Super Chill is $115 a month for three, with member discounts on additional eligible sessions and a three-month minimum.
Our post-workout recovery guide helps you compare the options. We are open seven days at 6045 Magazine St with off-street parking.
Quick answers
Should I do the sauna or cryotherapy first?
Choose by the experience you prefer. A warm-to-cold visit is one option; staff can help with suitability and timing if you want both. You can also book either service on its own.
How long does a full Monday reset take?
Sauna reserves 30 or 45 minutes and compression reserves 30 minutes. Whole body cryotherapy is 3 to 5 minutes in the chamber, booked as 15 minutes for a first visit and 10 minutes after that. Choose one appointment or arrange separate times for a longer visit.
What if I only want to sit and give my legs a break?
Start by looking at the 30-minute NormaTec appointment. You stay seated while the boots apply pressure. You do not have to add another service.
Can I change my service when I arrive?
Staff can help you switch or add a service based on availability. You can pay after your visit, including when you choose a package. Arrive sober and hydrated; if you feel unwell after heat or alcohol, recover before using sauna or cryotherapy.
